Recording the long awaited "Hot Sauce" with Wade Wilkinson once again. Wade is the long time award winning engineer best known for his Sublime works. This will be the third and fourth CD's recorded with Wade. This well oiled machine is kicking out soem incredible music again. These two have now been paired up for over a decade. Too many songs for just one CD this time around, we're laying 'em all down to toal ...get this....2 two CD's. The first will be the long awaited "Hot Sauce" to be released by Xmas 2009 and the second...."Jill Sharpe; Rated R" to be released Spring/Summer 2010. Still Jill...some are starting to say. Nothing much has changed except for incredible imporvement in musicianship since the day she began. We're in for a treat on this one folks. Come back soon and hear some smales of the soon to be released "Hot Sauce". Yikes!

When I was about 21 years old, playing with the All Girl, LA, Power-Pop Band TIGER LILY, when we began playing with the Ventures at events like ULCA Frat Parties, and a few others. I made friends with the wonderful guitarist Nokie Edwards. He used to tell me all kinds of stories about guitars, and travel, touring, his house that he was building, etc. I just loved this man. We used to go to the cool young hang outs where all the guys thought they were king bee, but I'd be hanging with the larger than life Nokie. We'd drink shots of Tequilla and he'd tell me dirty jokes....he even offered to give me a Mosrite guitar..though I didn't feel I could accept. I saw Nokie in the last few years at the NAMM show but don't think he remebered me, anyway, that's my little piece of Venture history I'm able to share. I am very sorry for the loss of Bob, I know that each girl in the band was in awe of the same players of thier own instrument and we will all feel a little sad for the loss of such a great player. Bob Bogle of rock band The Ventures dies at 75

Bob Bogle, lead guitarist and co-founder of the rock band The Ventures, known for 1960s instrumental hits including "Walk, Don't Run," has died at age 75.
Don Wilson, the band's other co-founder, told The News Tribune of Tacoma that Bogle became ill over the weekend and died Sunday..

The band sold millions of albums and heavily influenced other rock guitarists. It was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008. The hall's Web site hailed The Ventures as "the most successful instrumental combo in rock and roll history.".

"Walk, Don't Run" reached No. 2 on the Billboard chart in 1960, and a revised version, "Walk, Don't Run '64," reached No. 8 in 1964. Among the band's other hits were "Perfidia" and the theme from "Hawaii Five-O.".

The band got its start in 1958 in Tacoma. Bogle initially played lead and bass and Wilson played rhythm guitar. They were soon joined by Nokie Edwards, another guitarist, and drummer Howie Johnson, later replaced by Mel Taylor..

"Our aspirations were to pick up nothing heavier than a guitar," Wilson said last year. "But it just mushroomed into something where we became internationally known.".

The Ventures were particularly popular in Japan, where Wilson and Bogle played as a duo during their first tour in 1962 because the promoter couldn't afford to pay the other two band members..

The two Americans made such an impression, Wilson recalled last year, that when the band came back in 1964, "there were 6,000 people at the airport." He said he didn't realize at first the Japanese fans were there to see The Ventures..
